Discover our COVID Collection
Discover our Covid masks that are embroidered by hand.
Made of cotton and washable by hand, they look feminine, with a dash of drama that brings you back to the roots of our house.
This collection is inspired by the floral theme, and each petal is embroidered by hand on a myriad of shiny Swarovski crystals, celebrating Nature at its finest during this long period of epidemic.
With a great variation of themes, from the immaculate bride, to the mysterious Goddess of Nature, the Sakina Paris woman wears her mask on a daily basis as well as for specific occasions, thus making a functional item become a jewellery creation.
Beads of tourmaline, tubes of glass, Swarovski crystals, and gold threads intertwining on soft and fluffy materials, are turning the mask into a piece of poetry so powerfully expressed.
Former student from L’École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, Sakina first built her technique at Chanel atelier, where she learnt the art of embroidery and the rigor of Haute Couture.
Afterward, she entered Givenchy atelier as a pattern-maker for the
ready-to-wear collections. Then, she met fashion designer Alexandre Vauthier in 2013 and started a year of collaboration.
In January 2017, she founded her own fashion house Sakina Paris located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris.
Her wedding and Haute Couture collections are well-received by the international press, including Elle magazine and Marie-Claire magazine, and she started designing luxury ready-to-wear since 2018.
Sakina has presented her collections many prestigious events, such as Paris Fashion Week, Beirut Fashion Week and Festival de Cannes.
The Sakina Paris house offers modern, feminine and elegant creations. The initial idea of designer Sakina is to create a space where all women can choose a reworked basic such as a sweater, a dress, a skirt or a shirt according to their mood.
The art of embroidery is at the heart of the Sakina Paris aesthetics and represents an added value. It recalls the Couture roots of the house and allows to reinvent the basic in a creative way.
The house highlights its savoir-faire through creations that are designed in our Parisian workshop. The French crafts are revisited according to a more contemporary sensitivity.
